Frequently Asked Questions
Lights ON Broadway supports the restoration and relighting of the historic two-sided BROADWAY sign at 435 Broadway, and the preservation of ON Broadway as an independent San Francisco stage.
The first public phase focuses on relighting the 348 letter lights across both sides of the sign.
There are three main ways to support the campaign:
1. Sponsor a Light ($25–$50): Sponsor an open letter light on either side of the BROADWAY sign, or brighten any existing bulb.
2. Dedicate a Light ($100): Light one for someone
3. Help Light a Letter: For families, companies, foundations, civic donors, and major supporters who want to help restore a full letter of the BROADWAY sign.
Lights ON Broadway uses guided assignment. You can sponsor an open bulb on the sign, or choose to brighten an existing bulb connected to one of the historic stories of Broadway. The campaign team will help place it with care.
