Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Lights ON Broadway is a community preservation campaign for the historic BROADWAY sign at 435 Broadway, San Francisco. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
Information We Collect
When you interact with this website — making a contribution, submitting a dedication, joining our mailing list, or sending a message — we may collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, contribution details, and any information you voluntarily share through forms or correspondence.
Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processor and never touch our servers. All campaign contributions are securely processed and received directly by The Point Foundation for the FAB MAB restricted fund to restore the sign and keep the stage alive.
How We Use Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Process contributions and issue donation receipts
- Place and steward bulb dedications in the Broadway Light Registry
- Respond to your questions and inquiries
- Share campaign updates and milestones
- Improve this website
- Meet legal and financial reporting requirements
Sharing Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we never share it for advertising or marketing purposes.
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run the campaign — payment processing, email delivery, website hosting — and only to the extent needed for them to provide those services. They are required to protect your information.
We may disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of the campaign and its supporters.
Email Communications
If you join the mailing list or make a contribution, we may send occasional updates about the restoration and the venue. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but contributions are processed through industry-standard encrypted payment infrastructure.
External Links
This website links to other sites, including our venue and partner pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
California Residents
Lights ON Broadway is a fiscally sponsored nonprofit community campaign. It is not a “business” as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) and does not meet that law's coverage thresholds. We honor its spirit regardless: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising — so there is nothing to opt out of, and we treat browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals accordingly.
Any supporter — California resident or not — may ask us what personal information we hold about them, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us or writing to the mailing address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and you will never be denied service for making one.
Under California Civil Code §1798.83 (“Shine the Light”): we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised effective date.
